All bags come with the following benefits:
1. Ease of handling - since all bags are collapsible.
2. Low unit cost meeting demanding customer specifications.
3. Bags can be individually, or bulk packaged
Media migration is controlled through chemical or thermal treatment of the exterior surface of the filter media. Finer micron bags tend to seal media a lot better than higher micron rated bags.
Collars:
Our filter bags are offered in both plastic and metal ring sealing collar versions. While we offer a variety of collars, if we do not have one to match your needs, we have tooling for designing and making bags with collars per your requirements. The polypropylene felt filter bag is constructed with a plastic collar, the plastic polypropylene material used is FDA 21 CFR compliant material. We do not recommend the polyester collar (used in the polyester felt filter bags) and metal ring collar for use in food and beverage applications. In our filter bags with plastic collars, the filter bag media is welded to specially designed plastic collar for proper sealing. The plastic collar can incorporate an easy-to-use handle allowing for easy removal of the filter bag from the filter housing.
Materials/Construction:
Each felt filter bag grade is manufactured from high performance fibers selected based on extensive media performance testing. While our manufacturing process does not use adhesives, binders, or silicone, if your application cannot handle even trace amounts of these contaminants, please do let us know. For example, bags used in paint line need to be specifically called out to ensure bags meet these stringent quality requirements.
